The vision that you have for your website, doesn't really matter.
I know that was a bold statement and it probably made you mad but it is true.
The first thing every business owner needs to think about is will this convert. Will this design that I have in my mind create more paying customers.
Once you discover what converts visitors to your website into paying customers, you can then focus on design.
Now you might be thinking what is a converting design. Lucky for you I know exactly what that converting design is and I will be sharing that with you in this article.
The first thing you need to do is describe the service that you offer. I have an example below.
This sounds simple but it is necessary. Because people want to make sure that they are in the right place.
Now that your visitor knows that they are in the right place. It's time to explain to them how they can do business with you in no more than 3 steps.
Even if it takes more than 3 steps to do business with you. It is a must that you condense it too no more than 3 steps.
Why is This Important?
Let's just say it's science. We are accustom to the number 3. Anything more than that the brain starts to shut down.
If you have customer testimonials, rather it's a video, google review or a social media comment, you need to place that next.
It only makes since right. Your visitor knows what you do and how they can do business with you. Customer reviews confirm that you do good business and what they read earlier is true.
The next thing you need to do is to answer any questions that your visitor may have with a F.A.Q. section on the page.
I know this may seem like a lot but I can assure you it's really simple.
What you need to do now is write down as many questions that people have asked you about your business.
This will save you time and pointless emails and phone calls because you are filtering people by answering their questions. So now when you get a call or email it is more likely from someone who wants to do business with you.
